As someone who has lost two close family members to cancer, and one to breast cancer, I wanted to create a bag that would help bring more of an awareness to the pressing need to cure cancer.
This pink bag has a "Save the Hooters" owl on the front, with pink jewels decorating the tree branches. The back pocket has a 4 inch pink breast cancer ribbon embroidered on it. Coordinating fabrics in pink and white are used to complement the design. The top band is covered in words of encouragement, such as "hope" and "courage."
All my bags are lined, with interfacing used to give them body. Coordinating zippers give each bag a pop of color. The bag’s zipper falls 2.5 inches below the top of the bag and joins the two coordinated fabrics.
The zipper is decorated with pink ribbon, AND the bag comes with a fabric flower pin that can be detached and put on any article of clothing.
Although this bag is lightweight (only 3 ounces), the zippered compartment is the full size of the purse and will hold a large cell phone, as well as anything you might not want to fall out, such as your keys and credit card. The back pocket is deep and roomy. I carry my video camera in it.
Think of this as hands-free living, and not having to worry about lugging a purse around.
Straps are ½ inch wide and 48 to 52 inches in length (varies on each bag), and the extra length makes sure that your bag doesn’t cut you too high in the waist.
Please wash this bag by hand.
Bag size: 8 by 10 inches.
Weight: 3 oz.
